Alvaro Bautista finished in 4th position at his home soil at the AragonGP

Alvaro Bautista finished in fourth position at his home soil at the Grand Prix of Aragon!
Bautista ended up thrilling battle till the last lap of the race and added 13 points!!

Round.14 (27/09/2013 - 29/09/2013 at the Motorland Aragon)

The 14th round, which is the third Spanish Grand Prix, was held at Motorland Aragon. The 5,078 meters long track, that goes counter clockwise, consists of seven right corners and ten left corners.
The first half of the track consists of an uphill layout, the last half offers a downhill layout. The 968 meters longest straight marks the fastest speed amongst the 18 Grands Prix. A stable braking controllability is the key point when entering the corner with a high speed to decelerate its speed. The track of Motorland Aragon requires from the riders a modulate riding and is here the best venue for NISSIN to appeal with its high quality brakes.

NISSIN rider Alvaro Bautista (GO & FUN Honda Gresini/HONDA) showed his high performance from Friday's free practices using brakes ability.
Bautista took the sixth position of the second grid, 0.498 seconds behind the pole position time in the Qualifying session.
Bautista who battled the race in the second group at the beginning of the race looked for the timing to overtake his rivals in the Sunday race started at 2:00 PM. He came up to 5th position in lap five and 4th position in lap 15 using skilful braking control and overtook Valentino Rossi. The Spaniard enjoyed a heroic chaise with Yamaha Factory rider Rossi in front of his Spanish fans. Bautista finished in 4th position, which is his best result, the same as it was at round nine at the Grand Prix of the USA. His good pace will come up to high expectations the rest of the season.

CRT rider Bryan Staring (GO&FUN Honda Gresini/FTR HONDA) finished in 18th position.

In the Moto2 class, Luis Rossi (Tech3/TECH3) fought a fierce battle and finished in 18th position.
Doni Tata Pradita (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2/SUTER) finished in 22nd position. Thitipong WAROKORN (Thai Honda PTT Gresini Moto2/SUTER) finished in 24th position.
Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman (Idemitsu HondaTeam Asia/MORIWAKI) crashed out in lap six and retired.

In the Moto3 class, Nicolo Antonelli (GO & FUN Gresini Moto3/FTR Honda) finished in 14th position and added two points.
Hyuga Watanabe (Team La Fonte Tascarasing/FTR Honda) finished in 24th position. Lorenzo Baldassarri (GO&FUN Gresini Moto3/FTR HONDA) finished in 26th position. Alessandro Tonucci (Team La Fonte Tascarasing/FTR Honda) finished in 27th position. All NISSIN riders in the Moto3 class finished the race.

Alvaro Bautista-GO&FUN Honda Gresini/MotoGP-4th

“It was a great race and I had a lot of fun fighting with Crutchlow, Bradl and Rossi. It's just a shame that I missed out on the podium again but I am happy because I fought for it until the end. Unfortunately I ended up getting into a fight with Bradl on the final lap and lost touch with Valentino but I have no complaints and we have to be happy with a result like this at a circuit where we have had so many difficulties in the past. Thanks to all the guys for the incredible job they are doing. It is nice that we were back to our best today, proving that Misano was not our fault.

Niccolo Antonelli-GO&FUN Gresini Moto3-14th

“In the end I am quite happy because I had fun, like at Misano. I was losing time down the straight but in the tighter sections I was really fast and that is very satisfying to know. Two points may not be much but they are still a nice reward for us and they set us up for a demanding finale to the season as we look to build for next year.”
