The Second Official Test in Sepang Circuit!

Bautista scored 6th position at the second official MotoGP test in Sepang!
Bradl scored 7th position! Both NISSIN riders well prepared for the season opening!

The second official MotoGP test (26/02/13-28/02/13 at Sepang International Circuit)

The second official MotoGP test took place at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for three days. The MotoGP riders and test riders of manufacturers were testing. The Sepang Circuit is the only venue, where official tests take place twice. Teams and riders are able to compare gathered data before the first race.

The weather in equatorial Malaysia has a stable high climate of high temperatures and humidity all year around.

Though tropical squall comes down sometimes, the track in Sepang is a perfect place of having a test during the winter period. The course, which consists of two-long straits and various high and low corners, perfectly suits.

NISSIN riders were concentrated on finding suitable settings and are gathering data for the opening round in Qatar. Alvaro Bautista (Go & Fun Honda Gresini) and Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) tested 2013's brake material. Both riders had a good feeling with the new material. In 2012, Bautista gained a podium finish at the San Marino and the Japanese Grand Prix. His aim is more top spots on podium. Stefan Bradl is starting his second year in the MotoGP class and his target is to be on podium for the first time.

The test took place in changeable weather (Dry/Wet on the first day, Dry on the second day, Wet/Dry on the last day). Both NISSIN MotoGP riders concluded the test with positive feelings. Bautista scored 6th position and completed a total of 133 laps. Bradl scored 7th position and completed a total of 138 laps.

The CRT rider, Bryan Staring, completed a total of 118 laps and scored 28th position. Staring is adapting the MotoGP machine step by step.

The last test before the event in Qatar will take place in Jerez on March 23-25th.

Alvaro Bautista (Go & Fun Honda Gresini) 2'01.078/ 133laps (3days)

"I am delighted. Things couldn't have gone much better than they did today. This has been an extremely useful and positive test for us. Now we know we have the tools to fight at the front but more importantly we have gained an understanding of the changes we need to make in order to make swift improvements to the set-up. My feeling with the bike was really good today. There were already some positive signs yesterday and we were able to confirm them today. I can't wait to get back on track because I am having a lot of fun with this bike at the moment."

Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) 2'01.309/ 138laps (3days)

"It has been another productive test for us! We still have to improve few tenths of a second but we did anyway good progress with the new bike. We found some interesting front suspension setting, which allowed us to increase the front tyre feeling and some new traction control map gaining a bit more drive in the corner exits. I am looking forward to discover the new circuit in Texas and continue our bike development!
