Baustita finished 10th position! Both NISSIN riders are ready for the 2013 season start!

Jerez Circuit in Spain (18/03/2013-21/03/2013: Moto2/Moto3, 23/03/2013-25/03/2013: MotoGP)

As the 2013 MotoGP season is setting in, all three classes have had their third round of tests here at the Jerez circuit in Spain. (MotoGP teams held the official tests at the Sepang International circuit in Malaysia in early and late February. Moto2/Moto3 teams held the official tests at the Valencia circuit and the Jerez circuit in Spain.)

NISSIN riders entered the final stage of the setting for the opening race during the three days MotoGP test.
The first day, March 23, was held under wet conditions. MotoGP riders assumed the “wait-and-see” attitude towards heavy rain from the track opening till noon and were out on the track on wet tires around 3pm. Alvaro Bautista (Go & Fun Honda Gresini) completed a total of 31 laps and Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) completed a total of 33 laps, using steel disks which are used under wet conditions and its controllability of NISSIN brakes.

On day two, in good weather, the premium class riders run out with a setting for the dry weather conditions using carbon disk brakes. NISSIN rider Bautista scored his best time (1'40.686), 0.028 seconds faster than the factory rider Marc Marquez. Bradl also crossed the finish line 0.069 seconds faster than Marquez (1'40.783). Their records proved that NISSIN riders are ready for the opening game.

Day three started with rain but the track dried out in the afternoon. Bradl had a strong appeal with his strong performance close to the top guys. MotoGP rookie and CRT rider Bryan Staring (Go & Fun Honda Gresini), finished 21st overall and learned more about his machine.

Before the MotoGP test, the four days Moto2/Moto3 tests took place at Jerez circuit from March 18-21. NISSIN's Moto2 riders tested the 2013 brake material. Riders run and draw out high performance brake abilities, which increased their stability and controllability. Ratthapark WILAIROT (Thai Honda PTT Gresini Moto2/Suter) finished in 21st position. Yuki Takahashi (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia/Moriwaki) finished in 24th position. Luis ROSSI finished in 27th position and Doni Tata PRADITA (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2/Suter) finished in 32nd position.

The season opening race in Qatar will take place at the Rosail International circuit in the suburban of Doha on April 4.

Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) 1'39.975:
"Today we just had one and half hours of acceptable track conditions after these morning rain showers. We confirmed our bike set-up from yesterday, which made me more confident with the front tyre and we made a further step forward. Then for the remaining laps, we tested a new set of tyres to improve our lap time and we had a good result despite some traffic in the last part of the session. Although we had here tricky conditions in the last 3 days, I think we are ready for the first race in Qatar which is a race track that I like."

Yuki Takahashi (Idemitsu HondaTeam Asia) 1'44.839:
"Although our preparation is not perfect yet, considering the fact that we have started the modification of Moriwaki chassis and Showa suspensions from scrutch, the speed of our progress is amazing. We have to start the 2013 season from behind for the time being, but I realize we are catching up with other Moto2 teams very quickly. The expectation for us is very high and I believe we will achieve our objective very soon."
