MotoGP Round-15 JapanGP

Alvaro Bautista finished in 3rd position at the NISSIN home Grand Prix!
Stefan Bradl finished in 6th position!

MotoGP Round:15(12/10/12  - 14/10/12, at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit)

The World Championship season has entered its final phase. The Grand Prix of Japan has taken place at the home soil of NISSIN.
Before the race weekend, NISSIN's MotoGP riders like Alvaro Bautista (San Carlo Honda Gresini/HONDA) and Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP/HONDA) have visited the  NISSIN development center in the Tochigi prefecture. They exchanged with product developers who support them in Japan and did the brake the brake test at the NISSIN testing track.

The Twin Ring Motegi circuit is a typical "Stop and Go" track layout and one of the hardest tracks for the brake among all of the other race tracks. Therefore, the setting of the brakes is quite important on this track. The course layout demands a hard racing style of the riders so the track is probably one of those "love" it or "hate" it. Regardless of the temperature of the track, the brake temperature easily to increases on this track, nevertheless the riders manages to fight on this track with their brake materials which can stand high temperatures.

For the Motegi circuit NISSIN has datas in abundance. The NISSIN riders managed the race weekend using the ability of the brakes.

In the MotoGP class, Alvaro Bautista(San Carlo Honda Gresini/HONDA)started from a good spot on the grid and overtook Casey Stoner in lap 3. Bautista overtook Cal Crutchlow from the corner S to the corner V with the 5 laps to go and managed to finish in third position. In the next lap, Crutchlow played a game but Bautista still managed to save his position using the stable brake controllability of NISSIN. Bautista finished in 3rd position on the podium at the NISSIN's home soil. This is the first podium for NISSIN on their home Grand Prix in the MotoGP class.

Stefan Bradl(LCR Honda MotoGP/HONDA)started from the 8 position on the grid and finished in 6th position. Bradl show his talent and adaptability at his rookie year in the MotoGP class at the Honda's home soil. Michele Pirro(San Carlo Honda Gresini/FTR) finished in 15th position.

In the Moto2, Xavier Simeon(Tech 3 Racing/TECH3) finished in 14th position and added 2 points for the Championship standing. Ratthapark Wilairot(Thai Honda Gresini Moto2/SUTER) finished in 21st position. Gino Rea(Federal Oil Gresini Moto2/SUTER) in 25th position.

In the Moto3, Niccolo Antonelli(San Carlo Gresini Moto3/FTR HONDA) finished in 12th position at his very first Twin Ring Motegi race circuit and gained 4 points for the Championship standing. The wild card rider, Hyuga Watanabe (Project U 7C Harc/ HONDA) finished in 16th. Fujii (Technomag-CIP-TSR/TSR HONDA) finished in 18th position.
Danny Webb(Mahindra Racing/MAHINDRA) finished in 26th position. Another wild card rider, Yudai Kamei (18 Garage Rasing Team/HONDA) finished in 27th position. Riccardo Moretti (Mahindra Racing/MAHINDRA) was unable to start the race due to a trouble.

Alvaro Bautista-San Carlo Honda Gresini-3rd

“A beautiful great weekend with the signing of the contract for next season with Gresini Racing. I am very happy today. I knew we could do well and fight for the podium, because yesterday we had been shown to have a good race pace. I tried and I did it. I did not start very well, I lost some positions, but I quickly recovered. Then when I caught (Cal) Crutchlow I saw that we were riding at the same rate, and so I tried to keep a safe distance so as not to overheat the brakes For five laps I pushed more and I attacked and I have to say that the battle with him was beautiful and I enjoyed it. I am very happy for the guys in the team who have always worked a lot with the Showa to give me a good performance, for the sponsors and the HRC that is giving us all the support and I hope to continue like this for the next races.”

Stefan Bradl-LCR Honda MotoGP-6th

“We had a little problem with my arm today and I was not really able to steer the bike and after 10 laps I was struggling a lot and I have never had such a big problem with the arm pump. At the beginning I could easily follow the group in the front of me with Stoner and Dovizioso but the problem with my breaking hand got worse and worse lap by lap and I could not go any faster. I had to slow down and managed to finish the race 6th. It’s a bit frustrating and this was surely not a perfect weekend for us but I aim to bounce back in Malaysia next weekend.”
