Corporate History

 

1953 Established Nissin Kogyo in Chuo-ku, Tokyo for the purpose of making vehicle brake parts.
Providing a factory in Ueda City, Nagano , start the casting and machining of aluminum brake piston for four-wheeled vehicles
1961 Moved headquarters from Chuo-ku, Tokyo to Kokubu, Ueda City, Nagano.
1963 Commenced assembly of 4-wheeled vehicle drum brake wheel cylinders
1968 Engaged in a technological partnership concerning drum brakes with Lucas Industries plc of England (now ZF TRW Automotive) and commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle drum brakes.
1970 Commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle brake master cylinders and vacuum brake boosters.
1971 Commenced production of 2-wheeled vehicle master cylinders.
1973 Established M. N. Industry Co., Ltd. (currently Nissin Brake (Thailand) Co., Ltd) in Thailand.
1974 Commenced production of 2-wheeled vehicle disc brakes.
1978 Commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle disc brakes.
1982 Commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle ABS (anti-lock braking system).
1985 Established Tobu Plant in Tobu Town (present-day Tomi City), Nagano.
1987 Acquired capital in P.T. Chemco Harapan Nusantara (currently a consolidated subsidiary).
1988 Established Findlex Corporation (now Nissin Brake Ohio, Inc., a consolidated subsidiary) in Ohio, U.S.A.
1989 Bought out Nissin Muroga Seisakujo Co., Ltd. and Naoetsu Keikinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. and converted them into the Muroga Plant and Naoestu Plant.
1990 Established Nissin Brake System Co., Ltd. (now Nissin Brake (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary).
1995

Established Nissin Brake Philippines Corporation (now a consolidated subsidiary) in the Philippines.
Established Shandong Nissin Industry Co., Ltd. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Shandong, China.

1996

Acquired the quality assurance-related ISO9001 certification.
Established Nissin Brake Vietnam Co., Ltd. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Vietnam.

1997

Established Nissin Brake Do Brasil Ltda. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Brazil.
Stock listed in the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1998

Acquired the environment-related ISO14001 certification.
Established Development Center in Tobu Town (present-day Tomi City), Nagano.

2000

Established Findlex Georgia Co. (now Nissin Brake Georgia Inc., a consolidated subsidiary) in Georgia, U.S.A.

2002

Relisted in First Division of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Established Zhongshan Nissin Industry Co., Ltd. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Guangdong, China.
Established Nissin R&D Europe S.L. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in Barcelona, Spain.
Commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle Aluminum knuckle .

2004

Establised Nissin R&D Asia Co.,Ltd.in Thailand.
Acquired capital in Ishii Corporation Co., Ltd(now a consolidated subsidiary)in Niigata.

2007

Established Nissin Brake India Pvt. LTD. (now a consolidated subsidiary) in India.

2008

Sao Paulo Factory of  Nissin Brake Do Brasil Ltda.(now a consolidated subsidiary) in Brazil started production.
Commenced production of 4-wheeled vehicle Electric parking brake .

2012 Establishment of P. T. ALCAR CHEMCO INDONESIA as a joint venture with ALCAR group. 
Established Nissin Brake de Mexico,S.A. de C.V.(now a consolidated subsidiary) in Mexico. 
2014 Established  Chongqing Branch of Zhongshan Nissin Industry.  
2015

Signed a contract for a joint venture of the brake control and brake apply business for four-wheel vehicles between the AUTOLIV group.

2018
Expanded aluminum product production plant on the site of  Tobu Plant.
2019
Transfers all shares of the joint venture with Veoneer in the United States to Veoneer.
Announced manegement integration of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd., Keihin Corporation, Showa Corporation, and Nissin Kogyo Co., Ltd.
2020 Dissolved joint venture with Veoneer in Japan and China, acquired shares of both companies from Veoneer and made them subsidiaries.
